MINISTRY TASK FORCE DOCUMENT ON “MUTUAL RECOGNITION AND MUTUAL RECONCILIATION OF MINISTRIES” IS NOW IN A PROCESS OF STUDY AND FEEDBACK WITH THE MEMBER AND PARTNER CHURCHES.

The Ministry Task Force has made great strides in its work toward a proposal for the “mutual recognition and reconciliation of ministries”.   After three years of careful work, the task force felt that the next step for the process is to share the draft document.   The Coordinating Council agreed.   On the basis of the discussions and feedback the task force will then rewrite the draft for presentation to the churches for their own processes of discernment and decision making.   The study and feedback process will continue until the spring of 2006 and the Task Force will begin its rewriting work in June.

The Ecumenical Officers of each church are coordinating and facilitating the study process in their own churches.   Groups will meet in various venues, according to the guidance of the each Ecumenical Officer.   There will also be ecumenical study groups organized in a few settings.

CUiC Video
